- Description of torture
Phudé had gone for over a year without any information about her 29-year-old son, Tenzin Khenrab, following his arrest. Phudé's declining health is directly linked to her concern for her son, who has been held incommunicado for more than a year.
The mother of a Tibetan writer and political detainee passed away on 17 February 2024, at the age of 53 as her depression worsened.
- Comments
The stringent restrictions and surveillance measures implemented in their hometown of Nagchu (Ch: Naqu), Kardze (Ch: Ganzi) Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, have contributed to the absence of any information about Tenzin Khenrab.
