In 2008 she was arbitrarily detained by the few chinese official on the pretext that she was planning a protest while working in a private school in Shachukha Nomadic place, Diru Dzong. She was in one of the Lhasa’s secret detention centre and interrogated for two years. After which she was handed 15 year sentenced in prison. She is a female teacher and a writer who has left her great mark in the promotion of education in Tibet
