Topga (20) and Sardak (25) were detained on 18 June 2022 after security officials carried out a night raid near Meru monastery in Lhasa. They were both small businessmen at Shigatse selling local products like butter and Tibetan scarves (Khatak). They are originally from Chumarleb (Ch: Qumalai) County Kyegu (Ch: Yushu) Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, in the Tibetan province of Kham. Their current whereabouts remain unknown.
