Sherab and Loden from Shigatse County were detained by the local police authorities when they went to the nomadic area to deliver food supplies to their relatives. They were detained for allegedly violating covid policy guidelines. Sherab died due to extreme torture and beatings suffered in detention whereas Loden got admitted to the local hospital to seek urgent medical help.
